Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

EA Play started with a bang, showing off over 10 minutes of gameplay from Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The trailer gives us a closer look at the world of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as well as the game’s “thoughtful” combat. What this means is that this isn’t your standard hack and slash, but requires more of a strategic approach. This actually makes sense since as a Jedi Padawan, the protagonist Cal Kestis, isn’t experienced enough yet in the ways of the Force to just completely run through his opponents willy-nilly. You can watch the full gameplay trailer and demo below:

After the initial reveal trailer back in April which looked nothing short of spectacular, expectations for the new Star Wars game shot through the roof. The fact that this game was designed to be purely story-based without either multiplayer or microtransactions also appealed to many Star Wars fans. We also see a few familiar faces – mainly Saw Gerrera and K2 from Rogue One.

Based on the new gameplay trailer, I have to say that this is shaping up to be one of the best Star Wars games we’ve seen in a while. Hopefully, the story will be rich and immersive enough for all us lore fanatics out there to really delve into it. As for the combat, it definitely is a refreshing change from being so overwhelmingly powerful that you can just go around steamrolling over everyone in your path.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been confirmed for release on November 15, 2019. You can pre-order your copy of the game here.
