BenQ ScreenBar LED Lamp

Confession time. I’m a bit of a neat freak, especially when it comes to maintaining my gaming station. I like to keep it clean and organized at all times and only keep what I really need on my desk. So I’ve been searching for a lamp that doesn’t take up too much space and is able to light up my whole desk when I need it to. When I found the ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp from BenQ, I thought that this would be the perfect solution for me since it wouldn’t take up any extra space in my gaming station.

For the Minimalist in You

The lamp itself is lightweight, has a nice design, and is very easy to use. It fits at the top of your monitor using a clip and at 45cm long, the ScreenBar fits on most monitors without any problems.

The lamp has 4 buttons on the top for power on/off, auto dimmer, hue adjustment (2700K – 6500K) and lamp brightness functions. So you can manually adjust the lighting until you find the best configuration for you.

To set up the lamp you just need to align the micro USB port with the back of the clip,
insert it and rotate until it locks. Then just connect the lamp via micro USB to any 5V USB power source.

Illuminate Your Gaming Station

After the lamp’s been set up, you can rotate the angle of the lamp up to a max. of 10°. The great part about this is that no matter what angle the lamp is set at, the light never bothers your eyes or affects the screens of your monitors. It’s bright enough to illuminate most of my desk without causing any reflective screen glare. With a built-in ambient light sensor, the ScreenBar has auto dimming capabilities, keeping the brightness level of the lamp at a comfortable level for you.

Summary

Overall, the ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp from BenQ is a great option for anyone looking for optimal lighting for their gaming or work station without using up any extra space on your desk. One thing I would change about this lamp is the amount of screen space is covers. Currently, it covers about 7mm which is only a little bit more than my webcam, but it would be perfect if it covered just a few millimeters less. But since I can be a bit fussy about my screen space, I doubt that this would pose much of a problem. At the end of the day, this lamp gets the job done, has a nice minimalistic design, and will surely enhance your gaming or work experience.
